Need help organizing your family travel? Review our family travel tips

Family time in Bermuda does not begin and end on our pink sands. Our island offers plenty to see and do. In fact, your young ones may never want to leave. Many of our hotels also offer a variety of family-oriented programmes sure to delight everyone. Our island is your playground, full of captivating new adventures for you to explore as a family. Ready, set, go…

Walk on the ocean floor

Introduce your children to sea creatures — face-to-face. Helmet, or bell, diving lets you walk along the ocean bottom and have fish eat right from your hands.

  • Every day our helmet diving outfitters take small groups by boat to a dive site
  • There you and your family will receive a pre-dive lesson, before being fitted with an underwater helmet, and climbing down a ladder into the water
  • A hose, attached to your boat, supplies air into the roomy helmet
  • One of our experienced guides will conduct a walking tour along our celebrated coral reefs, surrounded by schools of fish

It is a safe and exciting adventure for children (and adults!) eight years and older.

Travel back in time

The Bermuda Maritime Museum is set within a sprawling six-acre fortress at the edge of the Royal Naval Dockyard. Here your family can explore an old munitions warehouse and the world’s first wrought iron house, while taking in stunning views from the ramparts. Children love crossing the moat into our largest fort.
